French translator

this application is a great idea, but there is not enough words or phrases.

another great app

Well, oxford translators new French language app lives up to its Spanish version. My sons are picking this up very quickly.I imagine as with the Spanish there will be a full version soon.....thank you

Another Five Star Oxford Translator!

These Oxford translators are the best. I have a bunch of the other translators and, when all is said and done, the Oxford Translators will be the only ones on my iphone. The others dont even come close. Its smart that they offer these free versions to try out, but the Pro version is absolutely worth the price. Five stars!

Not enough

I mean its a good app but it barley has any useful words to learn. It was deleted .

So freakin cool

As a female who travels a ton I found this gave me just enough to want um..... ALL of what oxford translator has to offer. I love that you can make correct sentences and I actually use them.

yall need to read the side bar

this is the free app,of course its not all on this app. There is more than enough to keep ya busy on the pro version.Authentic native speakers with bonafide inflection and accent.Guaranteed to make you comfortable speaking with locals in France.During our summer vacation we had 4 languages(paid ones) on 4 phones for each of us.We had a blast and the locals enjoyed our enthusiasm.Cant beat this companys apps.Keep up the good work.A Bientot

Worse than Mandarin one

The speaker speaks very slowly and once you press on the English word, the text on the button changed to French. However it takes a long time to switch back. Also, I dont think where are you from? in French is dou êtes- vous?

Best app ever I love it !!!!!!!

You can learn French relly easy with this app!! Get it!!!¡!!!!!!!!!!¡!!!!!!!¡!!!!!!¡

Like a choose-your-own-adventure book

Cool app but limited so youll need to upgrade if you really want to speak French. More limited than a translator because you dont simply put in the sentence you want translated... There are parts of a sentence broken up on the screen and you touch to string them together into the sentence you want to make. Audio is always a plus, especially because the translator apps Ive found dont have audio. This app would be good for someone who speaks little or no French to get by in France.

Very intuitive

I found this app to be very intuitive to use. It has great sounding French speech and gorgeous graphics. Im going to buy the full version now. Just in time for my trip to Paris next week. Je parle le français!

MLD is better

I downloaded this and MLD and I like MLD more. It is easier to use and gives me my answer faster. Plus you cant look up anything on this.

Stay away

This is a terrible app. You cant do anything without an expensive in-app purchase. Its not even worth downloading.

Not free anything

Any useful portion requires an additional purchase and there are many purchases to be made. Oh. And no price indicated. Really!!!

A nice sample

This is a sample size of what the translation app’s unique learning method is like before you commit to buying the In App Purchase. There are more than 20 categories for free, about one in each of the main categories. This helped me decide to buy the In App purchase because Odyssey Translator uses a unique interface that lets me “build” my phrases piece by piece and translate each piece in the other language. So I am learning sentence structure and hearing audio at the same time. This very unique in language apps on the app store. Also the sound files are crystal clear and amazing because they use real voice files from translators. So you get a really authentic French accent.

Free version is very basic

They give you about three words / phrases per category. Better off using the internet

Bad

They charge you for "is insurance included". Nuff said

So cool!

Well written and easy to use. Highly recommended.

Amazing

It helps me learn French
